Vaughan Williams, Oxford University Press, two large 4to volumes of the score and chorus, the latter annotated heavily in pencil on rear inside cover with musical score etc, original paper wrappers, some spotting and wear; together with the programme for the World Premiere of 'The Poisoned Kiss' at the Arts Theatre of Cambridge, Tuesday, May 12th, 1936, the title-page signed by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Cyril Rootham (Conductor), Camille Prior (Producer), inside cover signed by Gwendoline Raverat (Designer), signed by the cast on back cover and inside cover, including the leading cast Margaret Field-Hyde, Meriel St. Clair, Trefor Jones, Mabel Ritchie, Geoffrey Dunn and Frederick Woodhouse; together with a black and white photograph of a scene from the performance. Provenance: Jean Aikman (member of the chorus). Note: Known as Vaughan Williams 'forgotten' opera, it was completed in 1929 and first performed by the Intimate Opera Company at the Cambridge Art Theatre (above) in 1936, £80-120
