SCOTTISH LITERARY RENAISSANCE INTEREST - A collection of books of Scottish poetical and literary interest, the majority from the 1940's/50's, some inscribed by the authors to Ian Stewart who had links to The Saltire Society and The PEN Club, autographed books include those by Maurice Lindsay, Archie Lamont, Lewis Spence, Charles Graves, David Cleghorn Thomson and Sydney Goodsir Smith, together with a volume of Scots Poems by Robert Fergusson, published for The Saltire Society, Oliver and Boyd, 1947, signed on the front free end-paper by Hugh MacDiarmid, Eric Linklater, Norman McCaig, Robert Garioch, V.K. Annend, Douglas Young, Alexander Scott and A.D. Mackie, original blue cloth, gilt with original dust-jacket. From the library of the late Ian Stewart (1911-1993) Broadcaster and actor.
