Asian and Oriental

The Oriental market remains buoyant.  Despite signficant damages, this Chinese Buddhist altar ornament with red seal mark sold for £15,168 in 2022.  Other recent highlights passing through the saleroom include a Chinese famille verte porcelain fish bowl, probably 19thc. which sold for £13,904* and a Japanese iron articulated snake, Meiji period which sold to an American buyer for £50,840*
