Homes & Interiors

At Ramsay Cornish we hold fortnightly General Homes & Interiors auctions including contemporary and antique furnishings, clocks, paintings and works of art, from the useful to the decorative.  All auctions are online to provide the best possible market exposure for your goods to sale.

Specialist Antique and Decorators auctions

Held bi-monthly - a curated sale to include selected silver, jewellery, militaria, furniture, paintings and prints, books, maps, scientific instruments, toys, decorative objects, clocks, watches, whisky, wine and spirits, Oriental and European, ceramics, glass etc.. Recent highlights have included:  Jenny Saville, Nude, sketch, sold for £223,200*, a rare bottle of Lagavulin whisky, sold for a record price of £14,260*, a pair of Regency circular mirrors, sold for £16,120*, a Japanese iron articulated snake, Meiji period, for £50,840*.

Themed auctions

Our sale calendar includes themed auctions, this type of auction particularly suits single-owner sales or  large collections

Timed auctions

Ramsay Cornish offers timed auctions which work particularly well for certain categories of item such as coins and banknotes, whisky and spirits, militaria to name a few.   Please see our guide to how timed auctions work.

All Ramsay Cornish auctions begin at 11am. Our auction house is easily reached from the city centre, please click on our Google Maps link in the right sidebar.  Commission rate for buying at one of our auctions is 22% plus vat at the current rate, online auctions attract a further 5% commission charge plus vat from our online bidding platform.
